Psychotherapy involves examining and gaining insight into life choices and difficulties faced by individuals, couples or families. Through the use of various Psychotherapy methods and collaborative treatment measures, you develop life-changing habits to help you cope with any of life’s various obstacles. My therapy sessions are designed to dissect personal issues and provide you with effective tools to help you and the benefits of successful therapy are literally life-changing.

Couples Therapy
When we have been with someone for a while we can become complacent and easily fall into a trap of not communicating or listening to the other person. Sometimes talking to someone objectively, with no personal connection is all it takes to gain perspective. Couples counselling offers the chance to talk to someone with no preconceived notions of who you are as a couple, with the expertise and experience to guide you through your concerns and help you resolve them .
Individual Therapy
As a Professional Psychotherapist I use a wide range of expertise and experience to work with you to identify and change the thought and behaviour patterns that are keeping you from being your best. I will work with you to solve the initial problem and you will learn new skills so you can better cope with whatever challenges arises in the future.
Family Therapy
Family Therapy can help improve troubled relationships between partners, children or other family members. subjects that may be addressed are; conflict between parents and children, financial issues, bereavement, or the impact of a substance abuse or mental illness on the entire family. Family Therapy can be useful in any situation that causes stress, grief, anger or conflict. It can help you or your family members understand one another better and learn coping skills to bring you closer together.
Young Person Therapy
Offers the child/adolescent a safe environment to express their feelings and talk without fear of judgement and understand what may have caused them to feel this way. The methods used in these sessions depends on the individual child, they can include play, art and reading stories which encourage the child to discuss their own feelings and can help them express themselves better.
Older Children/adolescents may prefer talking therapy or a mixture of both.
I have added qualifications in helping children experiencing challenging behaviour and children with autism or on the spectrum,
Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is the therapeutic use of hypnosis to help with a wide variety of issues. It can help quit smoking, weight issues, addiction/alcohol, learn to manage anxiety and stress. It can also help with past trauma.
It can help with low self-esteem or confidence, improve your ability to relax and also achieve goals
Zoom Sessions
During the Covid 19 pandemic I have been offering online zoom sessions. These have been very effective and successful and I will continue to offer these sessions for talking therapies where appropriate. I do not however, offer zoom sessions for Hypnotherapy, I will only provide this type of therapy in my Therapy Room
